India Passport from New Zealand: travel-document crop only
Scope lock: this URL is for India Passport travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.
Preparing a India Passport from New Zealand? Keep the document selector on this US/foreign standard — local NZ passport guidance is a separate checklist.
This article is scoped to India Passport as a India travel / passport photo (35 × 35 mm, White). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.
Cross-border passport work: your UI market is New Zealand, but the photo law is India for India Passport. Local booth habits do not travel.
Official framing for India Passport on FotoPass is 35 × 35 mm with a White background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.
Home-market tip: New Zealand passport photos are commonly about 35 × 45 mm. India Passport instead demands 35 × 35 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.
From New Zealand: unfiltered selfie → lock India Passport → upload → use the export for India passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.
Why New Zealand booth prints fail India passport checks
A 35 × 45 mm New Zealand print is not a legal 35 × 35 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.
Cream or grey New Zealand studio paper can also fail when India Passport requires White.
Embassy / online passport filing from New Zealand
Submit the newest India Passport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a India mission serving New Zealand.
Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.
Do not switch away from India Passport
Market chrome may say New Zealand, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
India passport photo — what people search
This page is scoped to India Passport only: 35 × 35 mm on a White background. Licence or national-ID crops belong on their own document pages.
Queries such as “India passport photo size” and “biometric passport photo” should land here — not on a driving-licence tool with a coincidentally similar millimetre size.
India passport note
Passport Seva style uploads are picky about pixels and background. India Passport exports 35 × 35 mm / White — convert HEIC to JPEG before portal upload.
New Zealand → India passport gate
- Form asks for India Passport (passport / travel)
- Canvas 35 × 35 mm — not the usual New Zealand booth (35 × 45 mm)
- Passport backdrop White
- No stretched local passport JPEG
- Neutral face for border biometrics
- Market New Zealand / law India
New Zealand-based travellers clear India Passport checks when every passport line above is true.
