Japani Passi from Suomi: travel-document crop only

Scope lock: this URL is for Japani Passi travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.

Even when your FotoPass market shows Suomi, a Japani Passi must still meet Japani photo law for that document — local domestic sizes are a different product.

This article is scoped to Japani Passi as a Japani travel / passport photo (45 × 45 mm, Valkoinen). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.

Cross-border passport work: your UI market is Suomi, but the photo law is Japani for Japani Passi. Local booth habits do not travel.

Official framing for Japani Passi on FotoPass is 45 × 45 mm with a Valkoinen background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.

Home-market tip: Suomi passport photos are commonly about 36 × 47 mm. Japani Passi instead demands 45 × 45 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.

From Suomi: unfiltered selfie → lock Japani Passi → upload → use the export for Japani passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.

Why Suomi booth prints fail Japani passport checks

A 36 × 47 mm Suomi print is not a legal 45 × 45 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.

Cream or grey Suomi studio paper can also fail when Japani Passi requires Valkoinen.

Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.

Do not switch away from Japani Passi

Market chrome may say Suomi, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
