Home-market tip: Suisse passport photos are commonly about 35 × 45 mm. Japon Passeport instead demands 45 × 45 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.

From Suisse: unfiltered selfie → lock Japon Passeport → upload → use the export for Japon passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.

Why Suisse booth prints fail Japon passport checks

A 35 × 45 mm Suisse print is not a legal 45 × 45 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.

Cream or grey Suisse studio paper can also fail when Japon Passeport requires Blanc.

Embassy / online passport filing from Suisse

Submit the newest Japon Passeport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a Japon mission serving Suisse.

Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.

Do not switch away from Japon Passeport

Market chrome may say Suisse, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
