Border & passport-office checks for Suomi Passi

Suomi passport reviewers flag wrong head height, eye line, patterned walls, wide smiles and glare. Keep a plain Vaaleanharmaa field behind you.

Civilian clothes only — uniforms and camouflage are classic travel-document refusals. Religious coverings that show the full face are usually fine when Suomi policy allows them.

Passport renewal upload vs print pack

Online passport renewals want a sharp JPEG near the pixels implied by 36 × 47 mm. Paper packets may still need a physical 36 × 47 mm print — finish the biometric crop first, then choose output.

Reread the live Suomi passport form the day you file; kilobyte caps change more often than the print millimetres.
