Russia Passport from United States: travel-document crop only
Scope lock: this URL is for Russia Passport travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.
Even when your FotoPass market shows United States, a Russia Passport must still meet Russia photo law for that document — local domestic sizes are a different product.
This article is scoped to Russia Passport as a Russia travel / passport photo (35 × 45 mm, Light grey). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.
Cross-border passport work: your UI market is United States, but the photo law is Russia for Russia Passport. Local booth habits do not travel.
Official framing for Russia Passport on FotoPass is 35 × 45 mm with a Light grey background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.
Home-market tip: United States passport photos are commonly about 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 in). Russia Passport instead demands 35 × 45 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.
From United States: unfiltered selfie → lock Russia Passport → upload → use the export for Russia passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.
Why United States booth prints fail Russia passport checks
A 51 × 51 mm (2 × 2 in) United States print is not a legal 35 × 45 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.
Cream or grey United States studio paper can also fail when Russia Passport requires Light grey.
Embassy / online passport filing from United States
Submit the newest Russia Passport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a Russia mission serving United States.
Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.
Do not switch away from Russia Passport
Market chrome may say United States, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
Russia passport photo — what people search
This page is scoped to Russia Passport only: 35 × 45 mm on a Light grey background. Licence or national-ID crops belong on their own document pages.
Queries such as “Russia passport photo size” and “biometric passport photo” should land here — not on a driving-licence tool with a coincidentally similar millimetre size.
Russia passport note
Russian passport photo rules differ from Schengen visa prints; Russia Passport = 35 × 45 mm / Light grey.
