Finland Passport from South Africa: travel-document crop only
Scope lock: this URL is for Finland Passport travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.
Living in South Africa does not change the Finland photo standard for Finland Passport. Use this page when the application names Finland sizes, not a local ICA or Home Affairs crop.
This article is scoped to Finland Passport as a Finland travel / passport photo (36 × 47 mm, Light grey). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.
Cross-border passport work: your UI market is South Africa, but the photo law is Finland for Finland Passport. Local booth habits do not travel.
Official framing for Finland Passport on FotoPass is 36 × 47 mm with a Light grey background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.
Home-market tip: South Africa passport photos are commonly about 35 × 45 mm. Finland Passport instead demands 36 × 47 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.
From South Africa: unfiltered selfie → lock Finland Passport → upload → use the export for Finland passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.
Why South Africa booth prints fail Finland passport checks
A 35 × 45 mm South Africa print is not a legal 36 × 47 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.
Cream or grey South Africa studio paper can also fail when Finland Passport requires Light grey.
Embassy / online passport filing from South Africa
Submit the newest Finland Passport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a Finland mission serving South Africa.
Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.
Do not switch away from Finland Passport
Market chrome may say South Africa, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
Finland passport photo — what people search
This page is scoped to Finland Passport only: 36 × 47 mm on a Light grey background. Licence or national-ID crops belong on their own document pages.
Queries such as “Finland passport photo size” and “biometric passport photo” should land here — not on a driving-licence tool with a coincidentally similar millimetre size.
