Support, lighting and timing matter most for infants. Toys and hands must stay out of the face.

Safe positioning
Lay the baby on a flat surface with a light blanket, or have an adult support from behind the shoulders — support must not show.
Shoot a few quick frames while eyes are open. Crying or sleeping shots are usually rejected.
Rule reminders
No hats, pacifiers or toys in frame. Background stays plain and light.
