Is my Singapore passport photo valid for Malaysia Passport?

Almost never — local files are often near 35 × 45 mm; Malaysia Passport needs 35 × 50 mm / Light grey.

DIY passport photo while living in Singapore?

Yes. Keep Malaysia Passport selected so Malaysia millimetres apply.

Studio required in Singapore?

No — a sharp selfie plus this passport crop is enough for most digital filings.

Mandatory passport size?

35 × 50 mm on Light grey for Malaysia Passport.

Will the embassy reprint for me?

Do not plan on it — arrive with a correct Malaysia Passport file.

Malaysia passport policy wins; remove glasses if unsure; skip uniforms.

Portal rejects after download?

Fix KB/pixel caps after the biometric crop; reread Malaysia passport help.

Can I reuse a driving-licence photo for this passport?

Only if size and background already match. Otherwise regenerate as Malaysia Passport on this page.

Does this page create ID or licence photos?

No — the selector is Malaysia Passport. Pick the matching document for other products.

Living in Singapore does not change the Malaysia photo standard for Malaysia Passport. Use this page when the application names Malaysia sizes, not a local ICA or Home Affairs crop.

This article is scoped to Malaysia Passport as a Malaysia travel / passport photo (35 × 50 mm, Light grey). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.

Cross-border passport work: your UI market is Singapore, but the photo law is Malaysia for Malaysia Passport. Local booth habits do not travel.

Official framing for Malaysia Passport on FotoPass is 35 × 50 mm with a Light grey background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.

Home-market tip: Singapore passport photos are commonly about 35 × 45 mm. Malaysia Passport instead demands 35 × 50 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.

From Singapore: unfiltered selfie → lock Malaysia Passport → upload → use the export for Malaysia passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.

Why Singapore booth prints fail Malaysia passport checks

A 35 × 45 mm Singapore print is not a legal 35 × 50 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.

Cream or grey Singapore studio paper can also fail when Malaysia Passport requires Light grey.

Embassy / online passport filing from Singapore

Submit the newest Malaysia Passport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a Malaysia mission serving Singapore.

Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.

Do not switch away from Malaysia Passport

Market chrome may say Singapore, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.

Malaysia passport photo — what people search

This page is scoped to Malaysia Passport only: 35 × 50 mm on a Light grey background. Licence or national-ID crops belong on their own document pages.

Queries such as “Malaysia passport photo size” and “biometric passport photo” should land here — not on a driving-licence tool with a coincidentally similar millimetre size.
