50×60 mm vs 35×45 mm: which passport / visa photo size do you need?
Türkiye documents use 50×60; Schengen and most EU passports use 35×45. Squashing the wrong ratio distorts the face and causes refusal — pick the right document.
Two different standards
50×60 mm: Türkiye passport, national ID, licence (and many NVI processes). 35×45 mm: Schengen short-stay visas and many EU passport / ID photos (Germany, France, Italy, etc.).

Why the wrong size gets refused
Forcing the wrong aspect ratio into the target size squashes the face. Head height (the ~70–80% band) and eye line break; automated scanners or counters refuse the file.
