China Passport from Ireland: travel-document crop only
Scope lock: this URL is for China Passport travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.
In Ireland, treat this page as a China-only tool for China Passport. Irish passport booth sizes are not a substitute when the form explicitly asks for China measurements.
This article is scoped to China Passport as a China travel / passport photo (33 × 48 mm, White). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.
Cross-border passport work: your UI market is Ireland, but the photo law is China for China Passport. Local booth habits do not travel.
Official framing for China Passport on FotoPass is 33 × 48 mm with a White background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.
Home-market tip: Ireland passport photos are commonly about 35 × 45 mm. China Passport instead demands 33 × 48 mm — different aspect ratio, not a simple resize.
From Ireland: unfiltered selfie → lock China Passport → upload → use the export for China passport portals or embassy packets — never a recycled licence file.
Why Ireland booth prints fail China passport checks
A 35 × 45 mm Ireland print is not a legal 33 × 48 mm passport crop. Phone edge-trims break head ratios that border systems measure.
Cream or grey Ireland studio paper can also fail when China Passport requires White.
Embassy / online passport filing from Ireland
Submit the newest China Passport export — not last year’s holiday portrait — whether you file online or attend a China mission serving Ireland.
Compress for portal KB limits only after the biometric passport crop is set.
Do not switch away from China Passport
Market chrome may say Ireland, but the selector must stay on this passport product. Changing to a local licence silently changes millimetres.
China passport photo — what people search
This page is scoped to China Passport only: 33 × 48 mm on a White background. Licence or national-ID crops belong on their own document pages.
Queries such as “China passport photo size” and “biometric passport photo” should land here — not on a driving-licence tool with a coincidentally similar millimetre size.
China passport note
Mainland passport guidance often differs from visa photos. Keep China Passport at 33 × 48 mm / White.
Ireland → China passport gate
- Form asks for China Passport (passport / travel)
- Canvas 33 × 48 mm — not the usual Ireland booth (35 × 45 mm)
- Passport backdrop White
- No stretched local passport JPEG
- Neutral face for border biometrics
- Market Ireland / law China
Ireland-based travellers clear China Passport checks when every passport line above is true.
