Türkiye biometric photo size 50×60 mm: NVI rules (2026)
Official size for passport, national ID and licence is 50×60 mm, white background, last 6 months. NVI checklist + prepare at home with AI.
Why 50×60 mm matters
In Türkiye, biometric ID photos for passport, national ID and driving licence must be 50 mm × 60 mm. Per NVI guidance the photo needs a plain white, pattern-free, shadow-free background and must show how you look within the last 6 months.
Use our AI-powered Türkiye Passport Photo Tool to auto-crop your image in 3 seconds.
Even if the printed passport page looks smaller, do not cut to 35×45 mm — NVI requires 50×60 mm delivery. Wrong size is one of the most common counter and upload refusals.

NVI biometric checklist
Face centred; fully visible including hair. Eyes open, looking at the camera, neutral expression, mouth closed. Even light on the face; no red-eye, stains or creases.
Glasses with lens glare or thick frames are risky — remove if you can. With a headscarf, face from chin to forehead must be clear with no shadow. Natural colour; black-and-white is not accepted.

Do not mix with Schengen 35×45
Schengen / EU visas and many European passports need 35×45 mm. Türkiye passport / ID / licence need 50×60 mm. Cropping the same selfie to the wrong document distorts face ratios.
For a foreign visa, pick that document separately. The Türkiye passport photo tool applies 50×60 mm and a white background automatically.
