Scope lock: this URL is for United Arab Emirates Passport travel-document photos only — licence and national-ID copy live on their own pages.
From Australia, applicants often need a United Arab Emirates Passport for travel document renewals filed online or through a US mission. An Australian Passport Office crop will not satisfy United Arab Emirates reviewers if the millimetre size differs.
This article is scoped to United Arab Emirates Passport as a United Arab Emirates travel / passport photo (40 × 60 mm, Light grey). Driving-licence and national-ID wording is not pasted here.
The Australian Passport Office teaches a 35 × 45 mm habit. United Arab Emirates Passport breaks that habit on purpose: target 40 × 60 mm and Light grey every time.
Official framing for United Arab Emirates Passport on FotoPass is 40 × 60 mm with a Light grey background. Treat any other country’s booth print as a different template.
From Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or regional AU: shoot a clean selfie indoors, lock United Arab Emirates Passport in the selector, upload, and keep the export for United Arab Emirates online renewal or a United Arab Emirates mission appointment in Australia.
Passport Office size ≠ United Arab Emirates Passport size
Do not “letterbox” an AU 35 × 45 mm file into another shape — automated United Arab Emirates passport checks still see wrong head ratios.
Cream or pale-grey AU studio papers can also fail United Arab Emirates Passport if the portal expects pure Light grey.
Timezone & filing tips for AU applicants of United Arab Emirates Passport
Generate the passport photo the same week you submit; United Arab Emirates portals dislike outdated likeness more than travellers expect.
If you print locally in Australia, ask for an exact 40 × 60 mm cut — not “passport photo” as a generic shop code.
